How to Get to Billund, Denmark

Billund Airport

One of Denmark’s international airports just so happens to be in Billund, Denmark. This makes traveling to Billund from other countries much easier than expected. The Billund lufthavn or airport is not a big one. This means that the number of places that connect to it are limited. However, it could be an easier way to get to Denmark than traveling to Copenhagen first.

Copenhagen to Legoland

For many travelers, they may not think that going to Legoland is an option from Copenhagen, but it is very much a possibility if you are very eager to go. If you are relying on public transportation, you can take a train from Copenhagen to Vejle where you can switch to a bus to Billund. Unfortunately, Billund doesn’t have a train station, so taking the bus would be your only option if you don’t have a car.

However, getting to Legoland by car is very easy, since Billund airport is connected to a major motorway. It is a 3-hour drive from Copenhagen to Legoland, Billund.

The fastest way to get to Billund would be taking a flight from Copenhagen’s main airport Kastrup which takes less than an hour. That might be a bit of an extreme, but for those pressed for time and really wanting to see both Copenhagen and Billund, that option is very possible.
