Crayon Roll: Link to sewing tutorial (beginner)
Since I just learned to sew the first week of March, I have been looking for things to make in my class I’m taking at the local community college. I found the neatest idea online at Pleated Poppy, which is where I got the tutorial to make a crayon roll for my boys.
I found this really cute fabric at Walmart that is robots. Since it worked out so well, I decided to make more for some of my son’s friends and gave them out at a Busy Bag Exchange Party, which was held at a friend’s house. They were a success!! I used the same fabric for the boys’ rolls, but I bought Strawberry Shortcake fabric for the girls’.
These are really great to have in your purse if you are going out somewhere with kids. Restaurants tend to give kids 2-4 crayons to color, but some children wish that they had more. You can pull this out at any time to entertain children. It holds 16 crayons and can easily be washed in the washing machine if you get it dirty.
Here is a link to the video on Youtube where I show you how I made it. The Youtube channel is called One, Two Plus Me and You.)
